We used to come up I94 as well, there used to be a Wendy's Oasis (I think it was almost to Lamb's Farm...? my memory is rusty :)) Anyway, last time we rode by it was a McDonald's like all the other Oasis' which is a shame really. We used to stop for Frosty's on the way home, tired and smelling like ...

haha! thanks MGA1, that was a great story, even for us who didn't know them. :) Sounds like you guys always had a blast at work, and isn't that what it's all about? Thanks again for sharing.

It would be cool if they had one of every defunct ride since Marriott's in a kind of "graveyard" area. Have a tombstone by each one with the ride dates (birth and death) I dunno, just rambling.

I completely agree with you Yankee Clipper! i never rode it either (because back when they first built it I was a fickle 16 year old and it scared me silly). But it was a visually beautiful ride to watch, I could have sat there and watched it run for hours.

Has anyone been on TDK yet? If so what is it like? The webite (sixflags.com) alludes to the fact that there are holograms in the dark or I guess what they call "hallucinations" which does sound like it may be pretty cool.

How would one get to see the VIP lounge if you aren't a staff member or a celebrity? That sounds like it would be cool to tour but I'm sure they won't just let anyone in who asks. I guess you would have to have 'connections'?

Does anyone have pictures of it?

Thanks for the info!

That is an awesome story! I wonder if the hauntings are true, who the ghost would be. Are there any accounts of death in or near the building? Is the building still there today? If not, what is there in its place?

What exactly do they do with them for Fright Fest? I have never been to FF before but I think I will go this year. I had moved out of the area for 15 years or so, this is my first year back since 1990, so I'm looking forward to going....but the changes sadden me as they do most of us.

Another question for Gurnee-goers Does anyone remember a ride close to the Eagle (right next to the exit) that (I thought) was called "bottoms Up" as well, but it's not the original "bottoms up" roulette wheel ride. This ride was more of a catapult ride. It was circular and you s...

I used to live in Elgin (by Gurnee) and hope to move back soon, although being in Phoenix now, I suppose I am close enough to SC to go check it out :)

Hi Brian-

I tried to access the Demon song, and it came up with a 404 error, do you possibly have it on another location, or does anyone have another copy that I could try?

Thanks in advance,
