Senior Night ended because of the extreme misbehavior of the clientele in the park those nights. Sex, drugs, alcohol, shoplifting, linejumping, rudeness, vandalisim were all problems.

Pretty much. People would keep stealing them. In Germany they were easy to come by and cheaper, but in the states they were a hot item.

That and the electrical generator and battery system that kept them lit was worn out and expensive to replace.

Look back in the topic and read all the posts before asking a question like that.

The apartment/VIP Suite in question is indeed located in the Orleans Place building on the second floor of Bugs Bunny and Co. It's original use was as a private apartment for the Marriott family when the park was being built, and for use during the regular operation as a place the family could stay....

Yeah don't let the awful FF clientele disturb your day. The guests that FF brings in are for the most part rowdy teenagers, something that Six Flags is trying to get away from.

Thats why the regular season is far different that FF

That and the staffing sucks.

The sign really wont appear that much smaller. It just won't be as long.

And the advertisments are not big at all. They are paying for the new sign. Which is badly needed. The old sign is no longer viabale, repairable, and looks bad. I know its nostalgia leaving, but what are ya gonna do?

There is no other signage there.

The only plaque that is in front on the reflection pond is in the pond itself. It reads something to the effect of...

SIX FLAGS GREAT AMERICA

All money collected
from this reflection
pool is donated to
a local charity

Gurnee Tollway Sign being replaced

I think that this story warranted its own topic..... check out the story http://www.pioneerlocal.com/cgi-bin/ppo-story/localnews/current/gu/09-14-06-1029469.html I have seen artwork on this new signage, and it is very attractive. Its up to date and modern. The top portion is not nearly as horizontal...

Just to chime in on the trolleys..... They are obviously replicas of San Francisco Cable Cars (California style) And the bells are authentic San Francisco "MUNI" cable car bells. The MUNI logo is cast into the back of them. And the "Allies Trolley" sign has been updated. It still...

The inner workings of the sign are pretty much DEAD. And it is incredibly old technology. So much more can be done with LED's and the like. I think sign replacement falls under capital improvments that aren't rides. And I think it may be in the next 2 years that it hits the dirt. And the "Marri...

The change in music is pretty much for this year only. There will be some tweaking to the soundtracks in the near future. There has been some negative feedback on the change. I would think that the original theme music would be back for the 2007 season.
