If you check out the rides section and look at the yankee clipper section, you can see some shots of loggers run old waterway.

Hi, when I visited the park last fall (Oct and Nov), the vortex ride photos were still available, the top gun photo booth was closed, and I don't remember any Demon or Invertigo photo boots either.

Steven, thanks for posting the tidal wave video and the pics of the sign. I'm really glad you were able to get the all those signs saved, and thanks for working with PGA to save items rather than just throwing them out!

Hey Rick, thanks for posting the music, it's interesting to hear what music was played back then. It sounded like real "theme park" music, especially the orleans place tunes.

I'm fairly certain that the edge (along with some other misc. stuff) was hauled away in July of 2000 from the parking lot in SC where the yankee clipper was. I know that Steven posted a pic of that pile in the parking lot and it only showed the yankee clipper, but when the pile was hauled away, I wa...

The trolley has also been removed. The train was really a good break during the afternoon, plus there are plenty of trees that the train passed under. But yeah I agree that 94 was still a great year to see the classic rides. Tidal wave too. Even the first half of the Logger's Run was changed, but lu...

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I wanted to check to see if calling it "great america" on merchandise was a santa clara thing or if it applied to the gurnee park merchandise too.

It's still possible to see where the tracks were, especially around the gazebo area near the paramount theater (the former grand music hall).
