As far as I know, their roots lie in the DC/ Virginia area. That's why they wanted a park in the DC area.

I think the whole problem with Marriotts original concept, is that it lacked a cohesive strategic plan, and that led to it's demise in 1984. Here's how. Marriotts seemed like they couldn't make up their mind whether to be a regional or destination park. The plan to put the parks between DC/Baltimore...

^ That's impossible. 912,900,000 divided by 2,509,000 = $363.85 per person. Six Flags would not be broke with that amount of guest spending. Wikepedia says SF makes around 1.1 billion in revenue as a chain. Did you possibly add a zero on that first #? $36.38 sounds more reasonable per head.

I've always wondered if Marriott's had not sold the place in 1984, would Z Force still have been constructed? Would it have been put in the same spot? Anybody know why it was named Z Force? That doesn't seem to fit in a theme. Was this coaster in County Fair or Yukon Territory? Anybody remember the ...
