I had not heard that the name was going to change to Knotts. I drove past the park last week and it still had the Paramount on the sign in front of the park. Why can't it just be Great America?

Strange about Bonfante Gardens changing their name as well, I wonder why?

I remember my Mom taking us to a restaurant near the water where you could have ribs and stuff. Now it has pizza on big letters on the roof. I also remember ice cream in waffle cones in county fair. Those were good! Ahh the Mariott days when everything was good.

They should also focus more on attracting families and stop making it the park for gangs to hang out at. I hope CF makes some improvements this year.

I also like it much better. I wasn't a fan of the huge Paramount sign over Great America. I can't wait to see what they do with the park this upcoming season.

I posted my list from being a fan of the park when it opened in 1976 as a child, working there as a teenager, going on the thrill rides as a young adult and now as a mother of three kids. What I miss most about the park is the family friendly rides that are mixed in with the thrill rides. The Dora r...

I think my first trip was in 1977 to the Santa Clara park a year after the park had opened. I begged and begged my mom the year before to go since everyone else in my class had gone and I wanted to see it for myself. I was 8 at the time and thought I had entered the gates of heaven when I first arri...

I miss the train now that i have kids. It would be a nice break for them to ride it and get to the other side of the park. Do you think its gone forever or perhaps Cedar Fair will bring it back????? One can hope....right!

I'm aware its an australian themed area. My point was to keep it a water park but instead of the australian theme they should transition it to a Hawaiian theme since Hawaii is part of the US. Thats all. I was there the other day with my kids and had a great time.
