"Get Carried Away" was even Great America's slogan in 1984 after the Marriott's - Six Flags changeover for the Gurnee Great America.

Who remembers a dining area at Marriott's Great America called Burgers on the Run? This served hamburgers and hot dogs and was Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote themed.

Do you remember when Marriott's Great America had the Marriott owned restaurants Roy Rogers and Farrell's in its Gurnee and Santa Clara parks? Too bad Marriott's Great America never put a Bob's Big Boy in its parks.

I'm new here

Hi. I first visited Marriott's Great America in Gurnee, Illinois in September 1979 and my most recent Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois visit was in September 2000. I like the rides, I rode the Demon roller coaster and Power Dive only once. I even like the Looney Tunes character walkarounds.
