Boy, this has been a hot topic for me! Fortunately, I got to go to SFOT in April and rode it several times with my son, who had heard all about how great the Edge was from me. The weather was crappy, windy, cold, and even a few snow flurries, but the Wildcatter ran nonstop during the two days we wer...

^Not anymore. Wildcatter is on it's way out for Tony Hawk's Big Spin for 2008. It talks all about this on screamscape. Yeah, I know, and I'm not happy. The Wildcatter was the first freefall ride of that type in the country (the Edge at Great America was an exact clone of that and came a year later ...

WRONG WRONG AND WRONG! Whizzer must stay! It's the only ride of it's kind left, and one of the best family coasters around (even my 3 year old little girl love's it), and it is still thrilling, especially the banked turn near the ground. Try riding it in the dark at night sometime! Plus- it's a gre...

I actually never got to ride the Edge while it was installed at GA. I did ride Demon Drop once at Cedar Point. It was nice, but I like Giant Drop a lot better. I miss Tidal Wave the most, and Cajun Cliffhanger a bit as well. The Giant Drop is great, too, but the Edge offered a totally unique experi...

In my opinion, I just think it was redundant to have a Ferris wheel when both parks already had Sky Whirl. :? I remember the carnival like ferris wheel they had next to the train station. I think they had it to fit the county fair theme. I used to also wonder why they had that when they already had...

I hate King Chaos, partly because I think it's a stupid ride, and partly because I resent the fact that this idiotic thing is sitting in the same place as of one the greatest rides of all time, the Edge! :x I would even have preferred that they kept Power Dive over this silly ride. Oh, and I really ...

Lucky you. Here at Santa Clara, Triple Play was removed in 2005. I miss it so much. No offense, but everytime I get sad about the rides they removed from Gurnee, I always think that it could be alot worse- we could have the Santa Clara park. Great America just wouldn't be the same without the...

For anyone who likes the Power Dive, you can still go to Great America in Santa Clara to ride Endeavor! :D You can also go to Six Flags Over Texas to ride the Acme Rock N Rocket- it's the old Looping Starship (the same ride as Power Dive) from Six Flags Over Georgia. They did a nice job theming and...
