^ 9:30

I aways get to the park around 8:20 in the morning. They open the parking lot at 9:00ish and let people into Orleans Place, Carousel Plaza, Hometown Square, and Southwest Territory at 9:30.

Gurnee's regular ferris wheel was gone before 2000. Either you have the wrong year, or you are talking about Sky Whirl or the Bedrock Boulder Roller kiddie ferris wheel.

I dont think you have to worry about both flumes ever being removed. Ice Mountain Splash/Yankee Clipper IMO is still endangered. I would guess it will be the next major attraction to leave. Logger's Run (as much as I hate it) is probably safe for a very long time. A water park is not a replacement f...

^ It wasn't removed for Deja Vu, it was replaced by the games in front of Deja.

Santa Clara's Yankee Clipper was removed after the 1998 season in preparation for Stealth. It was never rebuilt at any park. When the park cleared out the boneyard, it was scrapped.

Really ashame because Yankee Clipper kicks Logger's Run's rear-end.

I'm pretty sure it was replaced by the trampolines.

For some reason, Marriott seemed to like the Gurnee park better. We got a lot of stuff the Santa Clara park never got. We had Traffique Jam, Cajun Cliffhanger, The Southern Cross, American Eagle, Hay Baler, and Davie Jones Dinghies.

I'll start with the one most everyone knows about, The Great Southwest themed area that was supposed to be built in 1979 at the Gurnee park. They even had signs advertising it at the far station of the Southern Cross sky ride. Not sure why it was cancelled though.

Regarding the rotation of trains on SFGAm's Whizzer, they rehab a train every two years. In 2002, Train 4 got a rehab and Train 5 was rehabbed for 2004. Next year, Train 1 should be done.

Whizzer Blocks

This is something that has had me stumped for quite some time. When Whizzer opened, it could run up to 5 trains. http://www.greatamericaparks.com/sg/rides/hometown/whizzer/whizzer008.jpg As seen in this picture, the lift obviously must have been 2 blocks. Exactly how did the lift hill work when 5 tr...
