Jonrev,

Those Astrowheel cabins were probably removed as they have been dismanteling Astroworld.

Hey all you Astroworld fans, here are some old pictures from Astroworld. I really enjoyed looking at them, especially the ones of Astrowheel.

Interesting to see "A Bally Company" on SFGAm's 1986 and 1987 brochures. I wasn't imagining things back then. Thanks for sharing these covers. :P

Thanks for the pics, redfishpaw. And these are up-to-date, how cool. Wow, Eagle really "dominates" some of these shots. Especially like the ones with Eagle in full view and close up.

I wonder how often MSN and others update these kind of aerial maps. It would be cool if they were current all the time. The closer view shows much more detail than others I've seen. We need some new topics in the forum. I just can't think of any right now. Have we used all the good ones already?

I have a question based on something I've noticed from comments from a few people on the board. How many people here actually are familiar and have regularly been to both GA parks? I'm just curious because there seem to be quite a few people here who have worked at both and/or regularly go to both ...

How about a day when visitors are encouraged to dress in bicentennial clothing similar to the time when the park opened in 1976. Red, white and blue, stars, stripes...etc.

Easy to do would be a retrospective of some of the past IMAX movies that were shown in the Pictorium. Perhaps 4 different ones playing at different times throughout the day. This might encourage PGA to reopen their Pictorium. Demon theming similar to when it opened would be another great idea.

Passing Through Gurnee

Hey Everyone... I was passing through Gurnee this past weekend (11/5 and 11/6/05) and went by SFGAm. If you take the ramp from Milwaukee Ave. onto I94, you get very close to the Eagle's helix and notice how impressive it is. I was on a road trip to Door County Wisconsin. From the expressway, the par...

Rick, Thank you for posting these rare construction photos of the American Eagle. For such a huge coaster, the building of it went rather quickly! I have vivid memories of riding AE in early summer of 1981 and remember what an incredible wooden coaster it is. The lines were long, the anticipation gr...
