Question re: Gurnee Sky Trek Tower
I was looking at CWSR's album of Shock Wave Construction photos taken in the winter, and I could see that the cabin of the Sky Trek Tower was at the top of the tower. Why was it kept there in the winter? It seems that keeping it at ground level would be more logical.

Knott's was pretty disapointing too, and they're the kings of the haunt. I'll post pictures soon. Oh, and to all you...

Dark Knight / Theater Royale
I haven't been to Gurnee since 1992. Do the cars spin on either the Dark Knight or Ragin' Cajun? Re: the Theater Royale, I have some very pleasant memories of the Bugs Bunny shows from the 1970's and 1980. They were fun and clever, and even amused a couple of college-age friends and me when we saw t...

To Fly
I remember seeing To Fly. Most of the audience had never seen an IMAX film before. There was a fly-over image presented on a small, center section of the screen, and after a bit of that, the shot widened to use the whole screen, much to the audible enjoyment of the audience - "Ohhhhhh!" Ot...

Park Environs - Gurnee vs. Santa Clara
I wonder what people's opinions are on how well the two parks give you an immersion experience. I.e., do you feel lost in the park or are you aware of the fact that it's surrounded by other stuff? I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who have attended both parks in recent years. I'll s...
