Thanks for the update, it's good to know that the ride is there..... although it was mentioned earlier that Park officials said the ride was gone. So now we have to wonder are they just slow to remove it or are they really going to remodel it :?

I make it a point to ride every marriott era ride I can when I visit PGA, and I'm so glad I do because I know it might be my last chance. Like with the orbit, there was no signs or indication that it would be gone, so I suggest everyone that visits there this season go on the old rides :)

As I remember back years ago..... I think the orleans orbit was the first ride I ever went on at great america, so it's like a part of me has been removed along with the ride. Steven, did you happen to hear the rides fate? Is it sitting in a parking lot, scrapped, sold? Thanks!

Since you guys brought up the santa clara Demon, when I went on a saturday in late october, there was no line, but in the summer in can be a good 30 minute wait or longer. So I think the ride is still popular enough for them to keep. And yes, like most of you, I hope both parks keep the Demon for ma...

Steven, did you happen to find out anything about the orbit? Of course, it is not near the new Survivor ride.

Everything was Pro-America when the park opened in 1976. After looking at a few souvenier books, the idea was that the greastest things about america were all in one place now at the park..... such as going to the county fair with your family, fishing at a new england fishing harbor, etc.

Hopefully the visor stayed there in the mud, where it can be covered and discovered in the future :D

The trolley tracks at PGA are gone, although it's easy to follow the outline of the tracks since the park just did a patch job. I'd like to see the train brought back, although only a small section of track remains near Demon at PGA.

PGA updates

I recommend that anyone interested in things going on at PGA visit the norcalcoasters webpage...... we can't discuss it here yet since PGA hasn't made an official announcement, but there are new things being built :D
