Recently, a forum has just opened for park music downloading. Here's to whoever said the old Main Gate music was cheesy: I THINK NOT! I listened to a sample of it and it didn't sound too disco. It felt similar to the Orleans Place soundtrack. Then again, it was recorded by the same instruments in th...

It's great that I got to hear a track from the old Main Gate soundtrack. I thought it was gonna be cheesy like I heard in another forum. I was wrong.

Thank you very dearly much for this!

Now I have to upload my collection.

Nostalgia Value at the Rehire Party

As we approach the 30th anniversary of the opening of Great America, I noticed an exhibit which told you the story of the history of the theme park. I went to the employee rehire party last night and they had it at the Season Pass Processing Center. There was a model of the American Eagle on one end...

Hey, 'Tootsie', where did you get all that park music?!? :D And how is it recorded in studio format? :D Mine was recorded live with a camcorder. Forgive the massive question marks and exclamations, but I've been a fan of the music for years, ever since I've worked in Park Services for the first time...

As much as you Shockwave fans miss the tall blue-and-white icon overlooking Orleans Place, and I still do along with the Sky Whirl and Hay Baler, you can ride on the near clones at SFGAd and SFMM. They go by different names but they're nearly the same ride.

I appreciate videos of the park, but I don't really like videos with the music in the background. I would prefer live videos with the park atmosphere.

Oh I'd be afraid to stand on top of Sky Trek Tower. That is, unless I had a parachute! And make sure the park is empty so I could have plenty of landing space. These photos are great! This would certainly bring back memories for me if I were in one of those snapshots as an employee. But it's too bad...

 It's very rare you'll find a Six Flags employee rich enough to own a helicopter in his or her backyard just so he or she can fly over the park. The time I went to the park in the offseason was mostly during the re-hire events. When I was in park services in early '99, I did get to see Yukon an...

Now we understand each other Steven. That's what I meant to say. I never did ride Turn of the Century but I know you did. So you take it not even Raging Bull or Viper beats TOTC. We all have different opinions.

You and Steven can prefer the original bunny hops since I never seen the ride when it was TOTC. I'm just saying that I assume Viper and Eagle's bunny hops give you more airtime.

I don't know why Steven wants to trade the loops for the 'original hills' on the Demon when we have the same features on Viper and American Eagle. Gene Patrick added the loops and the tunnel to the coaster because they were a unique element of the ride along with the corkscrew at the end. Another on...

I know that, Brian. I read one of your posts in the Carousel Song column. I just wonder if Tech still even has the reel-to-reels anymore. From 1998 to 2001 Hometown's soundtrack was cut terribly short by accident to 30 minutes but then most of it was recovered in 2002 but still cut short somehow. I ...
