The back especially if the people in front of you ducked, but the middle I don't think the splash was that great.......

I have a question, did the Alpine Sleigh Ride really have sleighs as was depicted in the concept art?

^ Very true... That's why on really hot days I would be more likely to wait in the Logger's Run line than the Yankee Clipper Line

Yeah, that might have been the real reason I never rode the SC (after this incident which happened in only the second year of its operation)

Steven, In one of the photos there's a small portion of the Fiddler's Fling sign in Gurnee. Did Fiddler's in Gurnee at one point have a completely different sign than the one it has today and do you have a better shot of that sign? It looks like it's on it's own posts instead of being bolted to the...

I loved Delta Flyer as well... was a little scary in the wind though.

It was just interesting that the Skyride in Disney's Magic Kingdom was also taken out around the same time... I think the Skyrides for the most part went the way of the Parachute rides....

Pretty Cool... I remember both the 1986 and 1987 maps, they actually coated the map with a sort of protective surface (which would come in VERY handy in the excessive amount of rain that we received those years ) I was a season ticket holder for both those years so I must have made at least 10 or 11...

I wonder if it's too late for Intamin to develop a new Triple Wheel?

(Actually given the "family focus" I wouldn't really be suprised if that's what might be taking the place of the Deja Vu next year....)

(Well one can dream I guess :( )

Steven,

What ride are you planning on including next? There's a couple of now defunct flat rides that I'd love to get some information on (e.g. Hilltopper, etc.)

BTW love the pictures of the Lobster, but wish you had some of the Gurnee Park to include....
