I have noticed that as well, and I believe it has been not working since the middle of winter. As far as a new sign, when Ron S. was the GM of the park, he said that he wanted to put in a new sign (kind of like PKI's). Now that he is no longer the GM, I'm not sure where those plans sit. I do know th...

I do agree on the retro look. I like it as well! :)

By the way, the same woman who is the escort is also the one that sings the National Anthem every morning LIVE on the stage in front of the reflection pool. I thought that was a nice touch, instead of playing some recorded version.

Yes, he has looked that way all season. Here is one I took yesterday of Bugs Bunny walking from the Columbia after the show. http://CPE-65-29-35-94.wi.res.rr.com:2711/jcpics/brian/MGAParksPhotos/Bugs2006.jpg Speaking of yesterday, the park did some stuff for the 30th anniversary. Yes, today does mark the 30th anniversary of the Gurnee park. While Santa Clara did open earlier in the season (I think it was in April), today is still a very special day. Going to spend the day out there today. I'll take lots of pictures of everything that they do today, and everything else that I...

For this season FullTime Mgmt, went out and crossed the globe to various parts and hired many different exchange students. Many of them working throughout the park this season hail from South Africa. You will see a lot of them working in the water park as life guards. I agree. There is a really nic...

Yes, the tent is still there. Below are some pictures I took on Tuesday before the ride opened for the day. For some reason, it did not open till 10:30 AM, so I had some time to get some pictures of the empty line. http://CPE-65-29-35-94.wi.res.rr.com:2711/jcpics/brian/MGAParksPhotos/AmEagleQueue4.j...

Everyone,

Got home from the park around 8 PM. Had a great day at the park. Got in 45+ rides on Eagle.

By the way, I keep hearing things that the park will be doing on Monday. While I'm not going to pass anything on here, you'll have to go out and check things out for yourself! :)

I agree with Steve, the 1976 shot is a cool one. In fact, I knew it was from 1976 as I did see Spinnaker in it, and the towers from Souther Cross are missing.

Speaking of Spinnaker, are you planning on doing a page for that ride Steven?

Keep the pictures coming Tech Services 1! :D

Just wanted to add that when I rode it yesterday, the lights in the tunnel were indeed, off. While it was cool to be totally in the dark, I do miss the lights. Hopefully, they will brnig them back. I also noticed that the waterfall has not been going this year either. While I'm happy that they are p...

I was at the park yesterday and noticed that as well. Up at Whizzer, the ride op's were talking about it.

We all were hoping it was not going to be like that for the rest of the season. Glad to hear it was just a mix-up in where the music is suppose to play!

Great Pictures! What I like about the consturction of that ride (and Eagle too), was the massive size of the project. In looking at all the photos, you really see how much work was put into it. I also want to also comment on the other additions to your photo gallery. The pictures of the Pictorum are...

I believe the sign in the photo gallery is from the Santa Clara Park http://www.greatamericaparks.com/sg/rides/yankee/clipper/yankeeclipper001.jpg If you look at this picture, which is the Gurnee Park, you can see the back of the sign in the middle left side of the picture. http://www.greatamericapa...
