Come on guys! I had to walk all the way to the parking lot! As well as late nights by yourself from the main gate all the way back.

I'm pretty sure there was a trapeze set up. I'm thinking I recall seeing some sort of animals while riding behind it on the train. That was so long ago I just can't be sure.

best place to share stuff???

I've spent the last couple of days scanning in what I have. Mind you I am working with an old scanner, so probably not the best quality. I still have a few news articles to go. I was wondering where the best place is to post this so I can share it. I would prefer a free place or something super chea...

Yes Jw, I posted something about Christmas in a Fort Fun post I think. I worked that holiday in Kids Kingdom. We had Santa Claus set up for photos. We were open New Year's Eve. They played some Top music countdown over the speakers I think. (memory might be going) it was extremely cold that night. I...

Steven, was Gurnee's lockers/wardrobe in the back of the park at the end of the service corridor?

badfingerboogie, I saw several of those concerts out in the parking lot. I think I have all my tickets stubs.

Jeff, I have homemovies of the BHC III sets when they were at the park.

I recall that they had term limits for working on the rides. In Santa Clara I think several of the rides you could only work on one or two seasons.

I hated working the ball crawl. The littlest kids didn't understand when time was up and you had to crawl in there and pull them out. I had the privilege (if you would call it that) to work in Kids Kingdom (what once was Fort Fun) during the season that MGA stayed open through the winter. So add sti...

Employee cafeteria

Call me strange, but I loved eating in the employee cafeteria. They had two lines. One side was hamburgers, cheeseburgers and french fries. The other side was the special of the day. I can still smell the burgers and fries cooking!

They also had a spaghetti shop and a place that served ice cream in baseball batting helmets.

I just dug out a bunch of newspaper articles from 1976 that my Grandmother saved. They state that the park, in Santa Clara, cost $50 million. Also one of the articles states that The Columbia carousel cost $2 million. I'm going to try and get these articles scanned.
