I know in later years, former park president and GM Jim Wintrode kept saying that he wanted a Ferris Wheel back in the park, but he never got his wish. Jim left the park at the end of the 2003 (?) season. I was able to talk to Jim in 2003 when he was in front of the Grand Music Hall looking at the ...

I rode the Monster at Cedar Point which is a Eyerly Monster. I like the Monster more than East River Crawler because it spins more and is faster. The bad thing is that it takes forever to load/unload and check.

I loved Sky Whirl and I miss it. I wish Deja Vu could have been placed somwhere else but I'm happy we have it. I think it's more than a worthy replacement for the classic ride.

p.s. Why didn't the park put in another free fall ride, was their any other kind of free fall ride being made at the time? Gurnee waited until 1997 to add the next generation of Intamin free falls called Giant Drop. Would someone who has ridden SF Magic Mountain's Superman the Escape describe how i...

I saw this article when it first came out and I was surprised that the girl was wearing shoes. I remember that there was an inch of space bewteen the wall and the floor so the girl must have had her foot flat against the wall to get it stuck.

I remember there was a section on the Six Flags website that had a list of odd things that happened at Great America and this was on it. I remember it said one of the kids moms called the police on them.

Mark Shapiro said in an article in the Daily Herald that SFGAm won't be adding any roller coaster in the next 3 to 4 years because the park will be focusing on families. Read the full article here: www.dailyherald.com/news/lakestory.asp?id=147698 I hope this will help get Six Flags back on its feet ...

My first visit to the park was in 1990 at the age of 1 and a half years and that was when my obsession with roller coasters began. I've been going every year since and my parents would tell me stories of our trips. They told me that I wanted to ride all the roller coasters and cried because I couldn...
