I remember riding Whizzer is the big thing, I remember the special FX movie in the pictorium and the WB Wild West Show in the SWT Theatre.
Whizzer was the big thing? I would think Batman was a much bigger deal.

Could you explain more? Have you never been on it?...in that case the simple answer is the restraints come down right next to your ears and when you go through the corkscrews the initial jolt the car makes to the right causes the left side to hit your head pretty hard and your head starts bouncing a...

So they had two people in the back seat so they'd have two eyewitnesses?

No, they did take it off. If you look at a picture of it with the drainpipe, you can see that there were only two bricks exposed above the pipe. Now, there are three empty bricks exposed above the ground, meaning that if there was the drainpipe underneath, you'd see a little bit of the top.

Are you referring to Superman at the Gurnee park? (For those that don't know, Whizzer's final ride was to be given on August 22, 2002 and then removed shortly thereafter to make way for Superman.) If so, then something else would have been built there by the time Superman came around.

Wow, it's still only $7/hr (at least at Gurnee). You would think that 9 years later, and with new lifeguards making at least $8/hr, they would raise the rest of seasonal pay rates (rides, food service, admissions, park services, etc.) to at least $8/hr as well. http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatame...

In Gurnee, for its final year of operation, they added a "25th Anniversary" paint scheme. Obviously, this took place in 2000, so it was actually its 25th year of operation, not 25th anniversary. They ended up keeping some of the 25th paint scheme in other areas of the park through the 2001...

It's amazing how far we've come in terms of how much the computer controls. Rides like American Eagle and Whizzer had brakemen, you don't see those anymore. Then again, I'm sure it's much safer (far less chance of error) to have everything conrolled by computer rather than humans. Do you know where ...

Well the kiddie one only has 6 cages. If you vist the park often, next time you're there, stop by Camp Cartoon Network and take a look at Bedrock somthing 'rother Rubble. This is it. Though, it used to be painted pink, purple, and teal. It would have to stop and go to let people in and out at the gr...
