You're right- that is Six Flags Over TexasSFGAmfreak4life wrote:In the picture it shows what looks like Shockwave and Superman:Tower of Power at Six Flags Over Texas. Shockwave is blue and in the picture the coaster is green. It could be a differnt Six Flags park so if I'm wrong someone correct me.

Demon Drop at Cedar Point is great and I like the first generation free falls the most. I love Cedar Point and I think everyone should make a trip there at least once. Ohio isn't that far and the drive is worth it to go to a great park. I know that Demon Drop is at Cedar Point is still for sale, so...

I got to ride the Edge again! (well, sort of...)
I took advantage of my Six Flags season passes to take the family down to Texas over Easter and go to Fiesta Texas and Six Flags over Texas. I was most excited to ride Wildcatter at SFOT- I told my 9 year old son all about the Edge at Great America, and it was awesome being able to experience the ri...

I know that the naming of the rides in respect to their themed areas, with the exceptions of Viper and Bull, leaves alot to be desired in the Six Flags era, but the ones that really irk me are Vertical Velocity and Batman. Both are in the Yankee Harbor area and stick out like sore thumbs. I think th...

Yea...I'll ride Millennium Force, Son Of Beast and Dragster but you could never have paid me enough to ride Power Dive. I would have thrown up for hours... Ironically, I was okay after riding Power Dive, but that stupid King Chaos ride they have there now that replaced the Power Dive is the ...

It's a shame that so many of the restaurants that had a theme or delicacy suited to the area of the park they were in were turned into generic burgers and fries or pizza joints. The only surviving theme restaurant is the Hometown Boarding House with their delicious fried chicken and apple dumplings ...

Somebody mentioned the idea of the two Greezed Lightnin' coasters racing each other. I know it will never happen, but the more I thought about it, the more interesting the idea became! It would also fit the racing theme of Greezed Lightnin' perfectly. Could you imagine both trains side by side, laun...

I really really miss the Edge, Tidal Wave and Sky Whirl (I'm reallly surprised at how many of you also miss Sky Whirl) the most, and still get sad when I visit the park and walk by the places they used to stand. I also miss Z-Force. I liked that ride much more than Iron Wolf. Since Magic Mountain wo...

Nice photos, thanks for posting them. I thought some safety ugrading was done while the ride was still in Gurnee as it was thought that the ride would reopen. Also, thanks for posting the link to Rocky Point Park. The timeline photos are quite interesting. Looks like Freefall (the Edge) sold for $5...
I loved the Edge- ironically, the first time I rode it was after the accident. I didn't have a chance to ride it before the accident, or perhaps I was too scared... Yes, it did open again, but, predictably, the lines were always short after that happened. I actually felt safer riding it after the ac...
