Later, I became a travelling character, helping to help open such renown attractions such as AUTOWORLD in Flint, Michigan . On that trip, we hit a huge deer with the company van. Jim Klem (often referred to as "Quigley") klemrock@comcast.net Holy cow- I can't believe I haven't seen...

This trick was also perpetrated by MGA employees . . . One of them is a good friend of mine, and he and his fellow crew members pulled this at Logger's Run in the late '70s. I saw it happen at least once on Logger's Run. It was awesome! :D Of course, Management didn't find it funny, as they couldn't...

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing (again)! Regarding the three or four pictures labeled "Circa 1983?" -- what the heck is going on? It looks like some kind of show was being put on right outside The Edge. Glad you like this stuff! That's the Loony Tunes parade passing by The Edge. I can onl...

American Eagle memorabilia

Check out my photo album- "Rides- Various Views". I've added a scan of one of my favorite pieces of memorabilia. It's a Certificate of Recognition; these were presented to everyone involved with building the American Eagle. Tech Services installed the sound system in the station and the em...

Road Show

I have a couple pics from the 1982 Gurnee road show in my "Misc. Stuff" folder. The road show was a blast, though I only remember bits and pieces of it . . . I do recall a bunch of us crammed into the big Marketing Dept. van- the performers, First Lady Katy, a Show Ops manager, a Promotion...

It took a while, but I finally found some pictures I took of the parade. I'm guessing these were from 1983.
Sorry the quality isn't too great, but it's all I have!

I should have some pics of the lights on the "Rex" float . . . I'll post them when they turn up!

A few more paperwork items added to my "Misc. Stuff" folder. My favorite is the employee Vehicle Operators Permit. It's from 1981, and it still lists the "three" park locations- San Francisco, Chicago and Washington. They must have had a ton of those printed up before '76! The li...

I've added a couple more winter pictures from the early '80s
to my albums- seemed appropriate this time of year.
One is under Pictorium, the other is in Winter in Gurnee.

Thats cool, but where are they going to make space for that? Anyone have any idea? Makes me almost sick to my stomach to say this, but the coaster is taking the place of Theatre Royale. So now I have to rant a little: Those of us with a Show Ops background are VERY sad and / or angry about the situ...

When I click on the link, I get a picture of The Edge. What is the number of the photo you're talking about?
I fixed the link.
Sorry, I must have moved some photos around since posting in this thread!
