Merry Go Round

Post by redfishpaw »

Does anybody know what happened with the old carrousel which was removed from county fair (gurnee) at the end of 2003? Its old, from the 1920s I think. Last time I looked it up. It was still listed in The National Carousel Association's Census. It was listed with the rides history, but now I cannot find it anywhere.

All I know is that they took down the Merry Go Round to build "Revolution" when they couldve took down the arcade games right across from Games Gallery.

I found out that the Gurnee Ameri-go-round is older than I had originally thought. It is a Dentzel - 3 Row Menagerie Carousel. Originally built in 1910 and operated at Fontaine Ferry Park (Louisville, KY). I still do not know where it's present location is.
