my older brother was telling me about a story where a kid went on the edge and his car flew off and it killed a bunch of people is this true?

It is interesting that all the "hype" you hear involves the Gurnee Edge. The same ride in Santa Clara did not experience any bad press. Anyone know of any interesting facts about the Santa Clara Edge that some of us may not know about? (Other than ridiculous false accident stories??)
