I had mentioned earlier that I had a souvenir from The Edge. A bolt, which I picked up off the ground during the rides demolition twenty years ago. I have not seen the bolt for a while , but it surfaced again last night while I was going through some boxes in my basement. Here it is...

Hi Redfishpaw,

What is printed on the head of the bolt? Thanks for posting the picture of it! I didn't recall the ride being red.

The bolt is more orange, I can get a better picture of it tonight. I'll take it in natural light, instead of in my basement and I'll take one of the end as well.

I like the new photo gallery for the edge, especially the overall view with the edge in front of the train station. (I think its a shame that this building is now totally paint bright green).

Now the the Edge is gone in SC, I am wondering what has taken its place?

p.s. Sorry that I have not have a chance to get a new photo of the bolt, I will do so shortly.

Oh man ... I thought I was the only one to have an Edge bolt. I have a few bolts and washer from the ride somewhere in bag. Thank goodness I wasn't the only collecting souvenirs back then. :)

The only ride I have a piece from is a small section of track from Shockwave.

Jonrev,

I tried the link, and it does not work. Can you fix this for us please?

Thanks!

Brian,

The linked worked for me. Maybe it was temporarily down when you tried it. Try it again and see if it works.

Yeah. That's probably the case. I'll try it in a few minutes and see if I can get it to work.

Thanks,

Redfishpaw, you asked earlier about the santa clara edge site. For several years after it was taken out, it was a rock climbing wall (mostly kids climbed it). I went to the park last week, and the old hometown train station has been converted into a ride called "psycho mouse". The area where the edge was is now a driving ride called " thunder raceway". The whole area is now a kids area with many new kids rides. If you didn't already know, the train and trolley have been removed from the santa clara park.

/\ Wasn't it the county fair station? The hometown station has been removed so you no longer have to go to the right of the carousel and under the now non-existent railroad bridge.
