Besides the fact that March 20, 1976 marked the opening day for MGA in Santa Clara, here are some other interesting events that took place that same day...

Kidnapped newspaper heiress Patricia Hearst was convicted of armed robbery for her part in a San Francisco bank robbery. TV personality Fred “Mr.” Rogers celebrated his 48th birthday. He was born March 20, 1928. America's Viking 1 robot spacecraft landed on Mars. The Apple computer company was about to be formed by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. In the NBA games, the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Atlanta Hawks, 107 to 99.
