Six Flags turns 45

Post by BrianPlencner »

Everyone,

Not sure exactly where to post this on the site, but I noticed it today when I went to look at the Six Flags webpage.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of Six Flags. It was August 1, 1961 that Six Flags Over Texas opened.

So, just thought I would share that.

I'm wondering what Six Flags is going to do to celebrate the anniversary. If I had to guess just a parade. Does anyone know if Great America will only celebrate the parks anniversay or both.

The park will do something for the 30th aniversery. But since its Six Flags 45th, they will be focusing more on that then Great Ameirca itself. I mean they dont want to confuse the average guest saying its our 30th birthday in one corner and another sign saying its their 45th. Im sure theyll do something for both but they said they would focus more on the 45th...
