1984 Movie "Dreams Come True" has rare Gurnee Eagl

Post by thadpk »

The 1984 Troma Entertainment movie "Dreams Come True" contains a rare, virtually unknown scene featuring the two stars riding the American Eagle at night! This movie was predominately filmed in my hometown of Oshkosh, WI. I have the clip from the movie on my hard drive, and if there is a way to submit it, i certainly will!... Unfortunately, the clip has no sound, as my capture card is on the fritz... But it originally had carnival music playing and the two actors ohhinngg and ahhinggg... A nice piece of park history

This site might work ok for free movie file hosting.

I also am looking into posting some Great America movie
files. I just found some I had on a zip disk the other day,
I thought I lost them.
Does anybody else have a suggestion for movie file hosting?

Well, I have used redfishpaw's link as stated above and uploaded the clip....I will say it is quite slow, so if anyone knows of a faster site, please let me know... The clip has no sound, and is a bit dark... But offers a little known clip of the eagle near it's birth! Did anyone on this site work at MGA in Gurnee when this was filmed? Again, the movie was released in 1984, but likely was shot end of '82-'83. This eagle scene was the only scene filmed outside of my hometown. The rest was filmed in Oshkosh, WI
The link is below... Enjoy :) P.S.---It appears you have to click "play" when the page comes up...

^ the video worked well for me, thanks.

As I have been going through some old files, I recently came across these old coaster videos. I have posted 6 short videos:

3 are from SFGA and 3 are from 3 other SF parks. They were made sometime in the 90s. Not the best quality, but still may be of interest to some of you.
