My latest eBay acquisition:

http://www.pbase.com/wgfinley/mgajackjill

It wasn't in the greatest condition but I wasn't worried about that too much. For whatever reason it only mentions Gurnee. I'm pretty certain Marriott would have purchased coverage like this but it was still pretty neat seeing what was said when the park was so young.

The particular smile for me.....County Fair referred to by its full name!

Enjoy.

I am amased of all the rides they could picture they used the Spinnaker, it usually is not seen in many advertisements for the park.
The rides are GREAT, the shows are GREAT, the fun is GREAT, at Marriott's Great America! REMEMBER Marriott's GREAT AMERICA, REMEMBER Marriott's GREAT AMERICA!

It could have been that they sent photos of every ride to the magazine and someone at the magazine was impressed with the Spinnaker photo and decided to use it for the feature.

Nice buy. I haven't been able to find one but hopefully I'll come across one in the future.
