Hmmm just wanted to say - this is a great video
however, it must have been taken over several years
the "Tidal Wave" wasnt added till the 2nd or 3rd year.

so the films must be a compelation of the 1st 2 or 3 years the park opened
still a great film

Another great find. I was thinking the same thing regarding the Tidal Wave -- that's didn't come in until '77 or '78 -- some of the footage shows it and some doesn't. Definitely shot over a couple of year. Still very neat to see the park back when it was new.

Different looking crowds back then too.

boy , no kidding, great footage. nice to see the park looking so good back then. I have of those animal press kit photos of the park from way back then at

That's exactly what I was thinking as well. Shame there's virtually no footage from Yankee Harbour or County Fair, but it's still awesome to take a trip back in time.

I kept wondering if I might see a shot of myself as a seven-year old boy... 8)
