Tanya's photos from 70's and 80's

Post by Tanya » Fri Jul 29, 2005 3:25 pm

I finally have most of my photos up. It was a quick and free way to do it, but not the greatest quality. I still need to figure out a way to do the newspaper articles. Hope this works:

The links on the left take you to the different photos.

These are great Tanya. I forgot about Kid Kingdom. On the Castle Rapids Boat I remember we used to get a miniature boat and take it to the top near the castle, release it and watch it float down the little river. It usually got stuck. One of the parks simple pleasures from the early days.

Wasn't "Lil' Dodgem "kiddie bumper cars" near the totem pole area? Was this removed when Kid Kingdom replaced Fort Fun?

Again, thanks for posting these photos. It brings back the memories.

I was able to get in and view the photos. It works intermittently though. First time I tried it wouldn't work and now it doesn't work again.

Yea, I did the geocities first. Found out they only allow so much traffic and then shut you down for an hour. I am almost done putting everything scanned so far into the image shack. Hopefully I can link to the whole shebang.

By the way, I entered everything in order, but somewhere along the way they got scrambled up. Plus, not sure if there is a way to title them on this. It's late..... I'm going to bed.

Tonya, all the photo's and newspaper articals you have greatly impress me, If I would have been around in the 70's and 80's (I was born in 1989) I would save these to, thatk you so much.
Paramount's Great America dissapoints me.
