Fiddler's Fling

Where did that name come from? Is it some how linked to County fair?

I assume that since fiddle players would be part of a fair (probably more so in the 'old days,' the park decided to theme this County Fair-based calypso as such.

Was Fiddler's Fling similar to the Tilt-a-Whirl amusement park rides?

I find it weird that it says on schwarzkopfcoaster.net that Calypso 3 came out in 1978/79 when they picture The Fiddler's Fling which openned in 76

Hmmm... good point. They also misspelled "Marriott's" on the catalog photo (missing an 'R').

I have a quick question, When did the SC Fiddler's Fling become Centrifuge?

I don't know when the Santa Clara ride was renamed to Centrifuge. I know that it's had the Centrifuge name for years now. A check of old park maps might provide an answer if there's no one on here who already knows offhand.

I believe either 1998 or 1999.
