Great List

Post by dwolo »

Hey Thanks for the great list. I spotted one mistake though. In Theatre Royale The Bugs Bunny Story ran for the 79 and 80 seasons and the Bugs Bunny Show ran in 81. Thanks for compiling it.

show list

see a mistake in the Grand Music Hall list

Correction to the music hall list!

76 ------ Music America
77 ------ Holiday & Broadway (Summer of 77)
78 ------- Silver Screen
79 ------- Music America
I am 100% sure that this was the order - I was there and in these shows!

Joey,

That list is for Gurnee, not Santa Clara!

Sorry if there were any mistakes!

And yes, this is for the Gurnee Park. One very crutial point I forgot to mention! I'll try to update it very soon for you all with the corrections provided. Please let me know if there were any others. It would be nice for everyone to have a comprehensive (and correct :D ) list.

I know we've clarified that Nystagmus' big list is for Gurnee now. But I wonder if the evening performances of The Music Man were only a Santa Clara thing. I don't remember them having this at Gurnee in 1979.

The Music Man only played in Santa Clara. The did do a 50's Rock Show in Theatre Royale at night during the summer of 79.

thats correct dwolo

i was in the Rock and Roll show
it played at Theater Royale in the evenings for several weekends

they closed the show because of poor attendance.
it was a fun show to do -
and i think the Rock n Roll show presented in the Grand Music Hall years
later was the product of that Rock and Roll show.

The Music Man ran the summer of 79 in Theater Royale

I'm pretty sure the Rock n Roll show was in the early fall of 78
Sept/Oct when the park was open for weekends

many of us were in Holiday in the afternoons and the would have a 2/3 hr break and then go over and do the Rock N Roll show that evening
I seem to remember doing 2 or 3 shows a night
(it ran about 25-30minutes)

dwolo? did you say you saw the show? i was Buddy Holly in that production

I have a couple of corrections for you about the more recent shows, as well as an 05 list if you want it.

Theatre Royale FF- 04 and 05 was also Susan Rosan- You just had a ??? next to the 04 one.

The name of the 04 espana Extreme was Espana Extreame:Defying Limits

and the 04 parade was the Jumpin' Jammin' Jubilee Again.

Do you want the 05 list?

Hey Joey,

I was referring to the Gurnee Park in the summer of 79. I think they sent Mike Kehoe from california to do Elvis in the 50's show.
