Demon Entrance

They should have left it this way. The Demon theming was positively awesome when it opened.

Also note that behind and to the right of the sign is one of the towers of the Southern Cross skyride.

I believe this was taken in '81 or '82 ... by that time, Sourthern Cross was already shutdown.

I agree, I love the sign, but I am glad they stopped playing that recording in line, the music wasn't that bad but the rest of the audio would have bored me…

I liked some of the stuff after the song. But I still miss hearing it in line.

Here is a nice pick of the Demon sign and also a few Marriotts era aerials.

Demon entrance....

Post by UAORDStew »

Just came across this site and WOW......how much fun!!!

For Fright Fest this past year they tried to "re-create" the old Demon before it became "religious friendly".

If you didn't go this year, they repainted the station in flames, added the demon eyes/tunnel logo on front of each train (it was a sticker), added a smaller version of the original demon eyes/tunnel at the entrance with red water (they added rats as an added bonus), ride ops wore capes, and last but not least.....the old Demon song blared in the queue line. Looked great!! Kudos to the Ops team for putting it all together!!!

Hi Brian-

I tried to access the Demon song, and it came up with a 404 error, do you possibly have it on another location, or does anyone have another copy that I could try?

Thanks in advance,

Gabi

HoneyBunny,

Try the site again. The machine that its running on is a bit on the "older" side....Dual P-133 with 512 MB of Ram from like 1997. So, sometimes it just "locks up" had I have to power it off and back on again.

I'm in the process of finding a "newer" machine to host my web/ftp server on. But until then, I need to babysit this box every so often.

Sorry for the issues, and everything should be good to go.

Btw, make sure to do a right-click and choose "Save as" so the file is downloaded and saved to your machine.

It seems that I can't download the song, it says that it can't establish a connection with the server. I really would like to have the song, so pretty pretty please let me know if you can fix it! :D
