Logger's Run Then & Now (PGA)

Post by Greezed Lightening »

Wasn't Logger's Run more lanscaped before they built Stealth? I know for sure it wasn't plain cement around it. Any comparasion pictures?

It was a lot more landscaped before Stealth. Now, with Boomerang Bay, hopefully the trees they planted will look nice in the area once they are grown.

yeah, it's just field of tanbark, with waterslide, few random small trees and LARGE Stealth footers scattered about... but the trees have grown in very nicely around the entrance queue. I REALLY like the way they have the original logo on the logs (although some have lost their paint).
The rides are GREAT, the shows are GREAT, the fun is GREAT, at Marriott's Great America! REMEMBER Marriott's GREAT AMERICA, REMEMBER Marriott's GREAT AMERICA!

If you check out the rides section and look at the yankee clipper section, you can see some shots of loggers run old waterway.

Steven has a cool shot here when it is absent:

and you can see the difference between how it looked...

with Stealth completed:

and now it's blue with the same large concrete blocks...

I love the queue to Logger's Run in Santa Clara. It looks so awesome with the trees grown. It reminds me of a forest. I sish they would do something with the Stealth footers, even though it would be expensive.

Do you have an aerial view that shows loggers and stealth together for comparison?
