Anything Great America Parks Members Can Do?

Post by gasc1990s »

Reading about how the park was in SC & how we lost so many great rides makes me feel more & more & more depressed. It's no longer the great park it once was. Paramount totatally ruined it. They removed the rides we miss w/out any good reason at all. I was thinking there can be something done. We members can work together to turn it back to the way we want it. By letting everyone know at CGA & CF how we really feel. We can help CF if we take them & Paramount to court or something. I'll do what it takes to get our rides back & how CGA SHOULD BE. Anybody think we could do it? I do. If we all work together.

um...
i would help.
but there is really no reason putting this situation to court.
All we need to do is e-mail the manager of CGA or something. :D

I need everyone to leave a message here so we can work on getting SC back to the way it originally was. Then I will email all your posts to the CGA manager. Just write something like bring back all our missed rides & a detailed description. I am serious about this. This could work.

I would REALLY like to see the Sky Whirl back, but that's never going to happen :(

Oh well... part of the reason for this site is to relive the memories of rides gone by

(Like Tidal Wave, Hay Baler, Delta Flyer/Eagles Flight, Z-Force, etc.)

We really need tidal wave back.
It was fun being shot out and through the loop.
Kinda like Invertigo but with more adrenaline.
:D

Sky Whirl can stay away. I hated that ride. It was boring and nothing special about it. But Tidal Wave and Triple Play I would like to see again, although never going to happen. They remove rides for a reason.

But why they take out tidal wave nothing was wrong.
Vortex is right next to it and now fire fall is.
And the lodaing station for tidal wave is still there. So tidal wave should come back.

Tidal Wave wasn't drawing in visitors. I remember going to the park one Saturday in the Summer in 1999, and while all of the coasters had a 2 hours wait, Tidal Wave was a walk on. It costs money to run rides, and if no one is riding it, they're losing money.

Actually part of the reason Tidal Wave was a "walk on" is because it was such a "short ride"....

Thinking about it if the line was too long people wouldn't wait for it....

^^They can't bring Yankee Clipper back because Boomerang Bay is there. The only ride they could probably bring back, which they never would, is Triple Play, just for the fact that the empty space is still there.

^People would still wait in line. Invertigo is a very short coaster and probably has the longest line in the park along with Grizzly and Flight Deck.

They should bring back your Triple play if it is still in working condition.

I doubt it...from what I've heard it was missing a center hub that got damaged in transit......

Wonder if HUSS still makes Troikas anyway?
