Demon

I agree that they should have left the original themeing elements. I would also like to see the return of the blood waterfall at the corkscrew scetion of the ride.

The blood waterfall will never return for structural reasons.

Both I think.
I need a great day this year, or 2, or 30!

Structure problems?

Post by GreatAmerica#1fan »

What Structure problems? You mean like rust or something? Well if they did not keep it for the rest of the season then i think that they should bring it back for just fright fest. Its not like they could not pump out the water from Roarin' Rapids or another water ride: bucaneer Battle would be sufficient it is right near the area and they would not have to do much at all. If anyone from Santa Clara is on here did they do the same thing to your demon??

I believe Santa Clara still has their waterfall but it's no longer blood red. Gurnee's rock structure can't support the weight of the water so it's a safety problem plus I think I heard it was corroding the track.

They could pump water back to the waterfall if they wanted to, but it's a matter of the rock facade and track being structurally safe. The water severely corroded the rock and damaged the track as well.

Dont quote me on this but I could've sworn I've heard that a section of track just before the corkscrew was removed and replaced with a section of reprofiled Shockwave track due to the poor condition of the original track.
