RIDERS ON THE YANKEE CLIPPER, one of Great America's two giant water flume rides, are greeted with a cooling splash of water at the climax of a seventy foot plunge into a watery lagoon. Over four million guests 'took the plunge' aboard the Yankee Clipper and Logger's Run in 1980, making them the park's two most popular attractions. Marriott's Great America, located in Gurnee, Illinois, midway between Chicago and Milwaukee on Interstate 94, is now open for its sixth season of family fun.
