Re: 1977 radio commercials and MGA stock video footage added

Steve!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
the 'shows' stock footage is the Broadway cast of 1977 in Santa Clara
forgot there was that much recorded, and to see it again gave me chills
and made me feel like I was right back there on that stage doing those routines
:)
thanks again

Re: New MGA footage youtube find

Hmmm just wanted to say - this is a great video
however, it must have been taken over several years
the "Tidal Wave" wasnt added till the 2nd or 3rd year.

so the films must be a compelation of the 1st 2 or 3 years the park opened
still a great film

thanks

I was so fortunate to be chosen among 1800 auditions to be the 1st Great America Singer in the Grand Music Hall. We were all so proud and happy to work in the shows, ...

as an employee of the park- working in the Grand Music Hall. Our stage door was almost exactly in the middle of the park AND the noise. I say noise because we could hear: The Turn of the Century coaster to the east of us, the Tidal Wave, literally a few yards from the door on the west of us, the con...

i remember some of the fun things the orchestra did
for instance ------
the tap solo in Silver Screen had the hauntingly familiar sound of the pink panther theme (it was priceless)
we could never do that dance again without cracking up
