Re: What ever happened to the new woody at Ca Great America?
So it was a rumor that they printed in the newspapers and had concept art for, and people were complaining about noise at a park that already has multiple roller coasters? I doubt either of those stories. Sounds more like a budget issue to me.

What ever happened to the new woody at Ca Great America?
I remember reading in news stories back in 07 that California's Great America was supposed to be debuting a new wooden coaster for the 2009 season. I can't seem to find any news stories since then talking about it. I was just wondering, since I don't live in the area and can't check for my self, wha...

Cedarfair and theming
I was simply wondering if anyone knows (or can speculate) as to how Cedarfair will treat Great America's theming. I know most of the themes and areas were practically destroyed by Paramount, but will Cedarfair finish the job? Or will they go back and re-theme the areas so that Great America will hav...

If I were Cedarfair...
I would first, get rid of invertigo, the most useless rollercoaster ever. I am so done with the silly boomerang style coasters. I would put a sky wheel type ride in its place, retro styled. I would put all the theming back into the demon, blood waterfalls, rocks, music, lights etc. I would emphasise...

I always find it soooo creepy when bits of old rides are still visible at a park, like old footers and such. Anyone else get creeped out by this. I am not sure if they are still there, but there used to be old footers left over from the Willard's Wizzer at the SC park. When I was a kid, I used to ge...

What are they going to call it?
When Cedar Fair takes over what do you think they will call pga? Do you think it will just be "Great America" because the "Paramount" name will obviously be dropped. Or will it be called Cedar Fair's Great America? I am so curious, but nobody seems to be talking about this in any...

Smurf Woods
I am new to this forum, so I am sure this has come up before I was here. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone remembers Smurf Village at the Santa Clara park. If so, does anyone have any photos. I haven't had a chance to go thru all the photogalleries here, so if there is one, just tell me. Also after ...
