That's a Monday. They'll probably wait until June 14 or 21 for Coasters After Dark.

I like how it resembles the original Marriott's star logo.

Milwaukee isn't too far from Mt. Olympus, about 2 hours. Great America is probably just as close, though.

I don't know. I thought maybe they could melt them down with Shockwave, but the only metal parts would be the chain, floor, and maybe ceiling. The rest was fiberglass, I think. Assuming they had to pay a company to haul them away, it would seem logical to let guests take them away. Jon, you got a pi...

Usually anything in the boneyard is up for grabs. (But make sure you get permission from the park first!) The park is willing to give it away because otherwise they'd have to pay a company to haul it away, if guests do it for them, they don't have to pay anything. :)

Does anyone know what the parks did back in the Marriott era or do nowadays with the leftover prizes. Hopefully, they're donated to organizations like Toys for Tots that could use stuffed animals and not just thrown away instead. :?

Vekoma is out there periodically during the entire summer. My guess is Six Flags threatened to no longer do business with them if they didn't fix it. :)

I'm not sure when, but sometime since the ride opened, everything was switched from semi-automatic to fully-automatic. Ride operators can no longer set and release brakes manually without shutting everything down.
