Walkarounds

We at the Gurnee park didn't have quite that wide a variation in Bugs Bunny costumes, although there were a few oddities. For us, Uncle Sam Bugs was typically the rule, but I faintly remember a couple of others. I remember one awful lime green bellbottomed outfit used for Easter promotions!...I thin...

It's a Magic World

ewilson, perhaps that is true for the Santa Clara park, but as for Gurnee, we never had the Country Jamboree show.

They must have scaled back the use of the BB Money then. It was used during any and all operating days in the '90s. In recent years, I haven't heard about it at all, though... I seem to recall that 1977's "Bourbon Street Follies" re-appeared briefly at the Gurnee park a few years later, possibly because that year's show wasn't ready yet. I'm thinking it was the spring of '81 before "The Bugs Bunny Show" premiered. Does anyone remember this?

Bugs Bunny walkarounds

At the Gurnee park, the walkaround Bugs remained in his "Uncle Sam" outfit until 1989. It was for his 50th birthday in 1990 that "Tux Bugs" was introduced, and used in one form or another until recent years, when walkaround Bugs began appearing naked.

Rabbitcadabra

I recall that this was essentially the same show as the "It's a Magic World" show the year prior, but with Bugs Bunny incidentally inserted into the mix...most of the acts were unchanged, though. In 1991, a new magic show was introduced into Royale called "Bedazzled", which was o...

It's a Magic World

Yes, it was an impressive magic show. I remember it quite well, since I was so disappointed that the Looney Tunes were not there anymore...but there was some kind of small show in the Snowshoe Saloon featuring Foghorn Leghorn that year.
