Red train is back? That was faster than I expected.

It will definitely reopen this year (very likely on opening day). SFGAm got their center hub back in late November and should be putting the ride back together now (or already finshed re-assembling it).

I really do not like this idea. If there is a legitimate legal issue with using just "Great America", fine, put something else in front of it, but Knott's Great America just makes no sense.

Opens last weekend in March, closes last weekend in October.

There was only one death on the Whizzer. The accident occured when two trains bumped in the loading area. The death had nothing to do with only having seatbelts.

You may have seen a similar ride in Idaho, but the only exact copy of Whizzer is Whizzer at the Gurnee, Illinois park.

I'm kind of disappointed. It looked really cool in the drawing, but I don't like the way the LED is angled. Unless you're pretty far away, you cant even see the Hurricane Harbor part from ground level.

The old sign came down today. Work on the new sign should start very soon.

Turn of the Century was probably named for its corkscrews. The theme of Hometown Sqaure is the turn of the century and that is why the coaster was named Turn of the Century. The corkscrews could have also been a reason. The only kind of inversion around this time was the vertical loop and then came...

^ I'm not positive, but I don't think Santa Clara's Demon has the horseshoes. The horeshoes in Gurnee are 2 very long queues located between the station and the exit path.
