Also, I forgot to add that this year, the park completely took out the queues at the bottom of the stairs over the service corridor. The garbage can and large 8' fencing is still there and in the same place, though.

If you look down as you cross under the blue side track, it appears that there was a handrail running down the middle, so two queues actually passed under. However, that would leave only about 18 inches of space (not nearly enough for today's society!) which seems rather narrow. Is this correct, and...

Right, I think Demondude was referring to the "chugging," where it will (at least feel like it) stop and go for about 10 seconds. If there is more weight in the back of the train, the effects are more noticable.

My guess is yes, although it looks like they haven't been used in a long time, since one of them is crooked.

It probably acted similarly, but Viper stops at the top because of the way the lift was designed, not because of any brakes like American Eagle.
