I'm just curious about where you got a copy of the Carousel Song. I've searched and searched but could not find anything except what's on GREAT AMERICA parks. Most of the other soundtracks are available if you hunt around a bit, but not the Carousel Song. I suppose that's because it was created spec...

Exactly. Marriott had planned for a Southwest theme since they began planning the park in the early 1970s. It was to be built in 1979. They never announced exactly why it wasn't built. It wasn't until about 10 years after Six Flags took over that they decided it was time for an expansion and built S...

I'm not old enough to remember the 5-cent rootbeers, but I think I know which storefront you're talking about. To the left of the Trudy's bay window and to the right of the large grid window near the "EAT" sign is a single door that is always closed. I couldn't find the 5-cent rootbeer sig...

Right, I think Demondude was referring to the "chugging," where it will (at least feel like it) stop and go for about 10 seconds. If there is more weight in the back of the train, the effects are more noticable.

For example, to post this image: http://www.greatamericaparks.com/c-demon010.jpg you would have to type: into the main body of the post, wherever you wanted the image to appear. You need the address of the actual image (which would usually e...
Going back to 5 trains, what would happen if there was a hold up in the station, and trains got backed up? Obviously, there were no seatbelts so load times were much less, but if there was a hold up, would trains be stranded out on the course? Also, about how often were trains dispatched? (It only t...
