I kind of like the patriotic theme of red, white & blue. I'm sure it'll look odd given that it's been white for the past 30 years.

Why was it that the temp in the bathrooms was always about 12 below zero? Seriously, I remember the bathrooms at the park being really, really, really cold all the time -- which was great for escaping the blistering hot midwest summer heat.

Yep -- they're definitely not taking any care in tearing it down. Looks like they're just torching sections to take it apart.

Really too bad. While not the best ride, it would have been worth saving IMHO.

No pictures, but I have VHS tape of many of the local news casts from the day. Ironically, my grade school principal was one of the people the CBS affiliate interviewed. It was definitely grey and rainy that day.
