Hey, 'Tootsie', where did you get all that park music?!? :D And how is it recorded in studio format? :D Mine was recorded live with a camcorder. Forgive the massive question marks and exclamations, but I've been a fan of the music for years, ever since I've worked in Park Services for the first tim...

Park Music for downloading!

There have been a lot of threads and discussions devoted to the wonderful background music at Great America parks. As some of you know, I offered a full MP3 of the Carousel Song a while back on my server. Well I've gone a step further and uploaded the entire CD of music that that Carousel Song came ...

My tag and button collection

I finally found my old name tags and buttons... I swear there's more hiding somewhere (I'm such a pack rat) but here is what I have. These tags tell the story of my history as an employee at Six Flags Great America: http://www.rcktman.com/tags_buttons.jpg A: 1988- Front Gate Ticket Seller B: 1989- F...

I'm just glad that Six Flags is trying to keep as many of the original Marriott names as they can. Change happens, but updates are good too.

Now I just wish they'd give us back the Mardi Gras Emporium in Orleans Place instead of Bugs Bunny & Co. Never liked that name.

Those cookies were awesome. I used to nuke them too... they were gooey and delicious. When they stopped serving them one year I think people were going to revolt. :-( They re-did the lines in the cafeteria in recent years as I remember, but I can't remember exactly what they did differently. But one...

One size only... back in the days when 16 oz. of Coke or another soft drink refreshed people. Now everyone needs 32 oz. or more. No wonder we're the fattest nation in the world. :-)

I worked in Cash Control from 1990 until 1996. I remember talk of "Fun Bucks" being a loathsome and hated thing by a few of the people who had been there for a long time (Cash Control seemed to employ people for many, many years, although they no longer work there now.) Thankfully we never...

Arm injury or no arm injury... that is an AWESOME show. I'm using my two good arms right now to applaud you. Well-done!!!!!!!!!! Love the song too! Crazy thing is, I don't remember it at all! But after reading about AstroWorld and realizing how lucky we are to still have both of the Great Americas.....

Coming Soon: Building The American Eagle!

I have some pictures to share with everyone... as soon as I can get a gallery set up on the site. :) They were sent to me by a ACE member in the mid-1990's. They're photocopies, but they are incredibly clear. In the meantime, here's a taste of what's in store: http://www.rcktman.com/eagle/helix_cons...

They would'nt of decayed anyway because if they did Gurnee's rocks would be gone too. It probably was because of the toning down. The Gurnee rocks were different from the SC rocks. The Gurnee rocks look more like sandstone, while the SC rocks look more like lava rocks or something. Probably more ac...
