I remember the action around them was a bit chaotic. If you were on the far end of where the food came out, half the french fries would be eaten out of the box and you would have only the mangled hamburgers to choose from. They also had these type of carosels at the Smithsonian museums in DC. and I ...

I sure do. I started off as the Uncle Sam that rides the back of the last float and stears the back like a fire engine. Then I did the Wile E. Coyote on rollerskates, and I did Bugs Bunny a few times. It was sure a nice break in the day from doing regular shows, and it was great to get all together ...

Mel Blanc did still do all the voices. He would occasionally come by and visit us at the shows and do the voices for us (many times saying words that you would never have heard them say in public). The sound difference you may hear is the diffeance between hearing them over your television speakers ...

I don't know how many people know where the names came from for many of the shops and restraunts. Maggie Brown is the wife of Dave Brown, the first GM of the SC park. He also previously owned the land the park is on. Penny P. Patrick is the wife of the first Director of Entertainment for both parks....

It was in the '90s that I last visited. It was so depressing to see closed buildings, others falling apart. The Music Hall show only had 6 people in the cast with a false procenium to make the opening smaller. There was no character show, no street entertainment, no parade, no fireworks. There were ...

profits
I was able to get ahold of a report for stock holders that came out in '83 when I was doing some work out of the main offices. It showed that the profit per dollar invested in amusement parks was paying back far less than what was put into hotel. Although they were not losing money, they were not ma...
