Anyone have pics of the ride pile from santa clara?
Does anyone have pictures of the disassembled rides that were in the santa clara parking lot? The pile was there until the summer of 2000. Yankee clipper was at the front of the pile. The pile was located in the parking lot, near the back, surrounded by a chain link fence. Maybe you got a shot of it...

It is my observation that the older employees working now are much friendlier than the 15 and 16 year olds that work there. Usually the young kids chat with each other and another problem is that supervisors are less strict about that. But, I also had great experiences with younger kids especially s...

commercials
I like the commercials that have been posted on this site, they're pretty clear with good sound. I was wondering how/where you obtained them. It looks like they were from 8mm film, whats the story? Thanks!

I'm sure a lot of us would enjoy seeing those photos if you can find them, I'm glad you took them! As for the pile, the yankee clipper was in the front near the fence, but if the photos are at the right angle, you will see parts of the other rides I mentioned, which I know for sure were in the pile.

Steven, thanks for posting that link, the boneyard is exactly as I remember it! The pile of rides I was referring too was actually in the parking lot, taking up about a hundred parking spots, surrounded by a chainlink fence. It was next to the redwood ampitheater, does anyone out there have pictures...

Past Rides
I definately agree with everyone that many of the rides that have been removed were fun and there wasn't really a need to get rid of them. I haven't been to the park in a few years and I had no idea that the tidal wave had been removed (from santa clara). It was depressing to see it in pieces!! Most...

santa clara scrapped ride pile
In 1999 until the middle of summer 2000, there was a large pile of dismantled rides in the back of the parking lot, fenced off. I believe the pile included the Edge, Yankee Clipper, the Triple Wheel, and maybe another one. I was wondering if anyone got a picture of that pile??
