The apartment was called the Consulate Lounge and it was used to entertain vip's who came to the park. It was very plush and I remember the gold fixtures in the bathroom. Friends in the Marketing department knew I was a huge beach boys fan and took me up there the summer of 78 to meet Mike Love when...

If I get a chance I will try to this weekend. I'm just a little swamped still getting all my video and other displays ready for the reunion.

I remember Octoberfest! I think it was in 78. I remember it was extremely cold those weekends and attendance was low. There's a picture from the event of Hauf bra Bugs at this link,

Park Music

I think I saw a thread somewhere on this site talking about the music which played throughout the park. Someone recently sent me a picture of Tech Services, where all the music emanated from. You can see the reel to reels at, http://www.mgareunion.com/pages/InsideTechServices.html Thought you'd like...

Hey Guys, thanks for plugging the site! :) I have almost 200 people signed up at EACH park for the Show Ops reunions being held next July. If you know anyone who worked in shows during the "Marriott Years", please let them know about it. I've heard from people from every show venue except ...

I know Gene got his start at Six Flags Over Texas. So I'm sure he would have gotten over to Astroworld at some point.

At the Gurnee park in 1977 we used all the Bugs costumes Ed mentioned, although I remember our Orleans costume being lite blue. The cue line shows were actually funny. The escort would pull along a rolling wagon which held the props and sound system, which was an 8-track tape running off a car batte...

That is correct. Although I don't know if it was the full show or a scaled down version. The Bugs Bunny Show finally opened for full-time operation. And it never went to the Santa Clara park. And on the Santa Clara side, Bugs Bunny's Wonder Circus never came to Gurnee.

Halfway through it, the slide projectors went down, and I had to work with nothing but a blank screen. Needless to say,...
