Re: If Marriott still owned the parks...

Well you never know exactly what would happen with the rides. Why wouldnt they have Batman The Ride...the ride is a classic and famous for bringing a new generation of coasters. However the theme will be alot nicer if Marriott owned the park.

Re: American Eagle in trouble?

Highly Doubt it. Those were down for a while now. Also, the park thinks AE as a classic as much as you. It will be long for this ride to be down. Hey Steve I like the SC picture of PGA but where are the recent Gurnee pictures? I hope everybody here wants to see them as much as I do. I mean I go ther...

^ Maybe, the one I am talking about was in the middle of the food court in between the tables and chairs.

Was the band located across the market along with its own stage?

Farmers Market

I have noticed in the Sky Whirl Photo Album a picture of the Farmers Market...same name? Anyways, in the center of the court there was a stand of some sort with the color orange. Does anybody remember what it was? Sorry I cant paste a picture on here, it would be easier to explain.

I agree that they probably would have built more extreme rides. But....they would have kept the theming in place and Marriott runs a tight ship. The employees would be of a higher caliber, thus making families want to return to the park. Like I said before, it's been several years since I've been t...

Where did you hear that less families go to the present day Great America? Was there a statistical study done of the demographics on attendance at the Great America parks through the years? Every year Six Flags has a press conference telling the attendance rates and for the past two years, the fami...

Alot of people believe that because the main source why Great America in both parks, present day, has lost its family touch is because of the rides that were to extreme for families. However, Marriott's Great America was still aiming towards the same direction. Once the Tidal Wave made its opening i...

I don't remember what the trolley operators wore. In old MGA commercials, however, there is a shot of a trolley and the operator is wearing an Orleans Place costume. In Brian's photo you see "Allie's Trolley" on top of the car. If I recall correctly, Allie was Alice Marriott. Steven Its c...
