SBNO = Standing But Not Operating

Last time I looked, the Power Dive gondola was in the boneyard (aka employee parking lot). You can usually see it along with the Sky Whirl cages between the cracks of the fence while on the Scenic Railway.

How do the non-fin brakes work on a Speed Racer/Jumbo Jet/Jet Star? There are the standard fin brakes (fins are parallel to the ground on the sides of the train) on the block brake just before the right-hand turn around the lift... and at the end... but how do the other brakes work? Can anyone elabo...

There's a great sky ride at Adventureland Park in Altoona, Iowa (near Des Moines). In fact, I rode it just this past Tuesday! For Gurnee, I have this feeling like it was in County Fair ... somewhere between Farmer's Market and Demon. And didn't you have a choice of either going into the 'tunnel' with all of the vines or walking outside on the path next to it?

When Did Whizzer Get Its Catwalks?

I was looking at the Willard's Whizzer pics on the site and wondered if anyone knew when the catwalks were added. Did both parks start with none and then add them at the same time?
