Yeah, that is the sign that is actually over on 101. I guess when the original bulb sign was put in in 1976, that area was wide open, and probably all belonged to Marriott. Does anyone know if that property used to be owned by Marriott?

If I remember correctly, and I am probably not, Santa Clara had a plaque with the KECO mission statement on it during its' days. Does anyone have the text of it? I think the KECO mission statement included something like: To make people happy by providing fun and excitement and memorable experiences...

It was in Rhode Island. It looks like it closed in about 1996.

It's a little off topic, but I think they added that little extra parking lot when they sold off the land for the Hotel. If they were to sell or lease the land to the 49ers, they would have to build some sort of parking structure. It would probably be similar to Disneyland's Mickey and Friends parki...

Yeah, it was too "jerky" for me. I never really cared for it. So much so that I hadn't realized it was missing/gone.
